The internet has been a great advance in our technological world and is a wonderful resource to find out all kinds of information.

Unfortunately it has also become a place for war.  It can be very easy to influence us using the web especially teens and young adults.

There are countries that do not permit their citizens access to certain places on the web as they fear upheaval in their countries.  They don't want their people to be influenced, IMO, by what they see as the opening up of minds to alternative ways of thinking.

In some ways, I can see their point, but wouldn't our world be better off if we all could meet somewhere in the middle?  We don't have to agree on everything, but I think there would be less war and some of the monies spent on war could be put to use in better areas, i.e. education, the housing market, jobs, etc.
